Altertale是由Friisans创作的，将两组共同特征角色成组进行互换的角色错位类型同人项目。
发展
2016年4月1日，Friisans受匿名用户[a]委托绘制Sans与Toriel角色互换的形象，当时还尚未有完整的同人项目概念。[3]
同年4月4日，Friisans将之前创作的内容统一作为一个独立的同人项目，并发文询问该项目的起名方向。[4]
同年4月8日，Friisans在回答匿名提问时表明该项目的正式名称为“Altertale”和“Switchtale”，[5][6][7]而后因项目重名从而去掉了“Switchtale”这一备用名。[8]
随后的一段时间内，Friisans以Tumblr问答的方式持续为该项目补充设定。
2016年5月22日，Friisans发布了一篇名为“What is Altertale?”的帖子，该帖详细整理了Altertale的所有主要设定内容。[9]

- Ruins的守护者，前怪物国王，Boss级怪物。[14]
- 大概有数百岁，但看起来只有35岁左右。
- 身高为6英尺9英寸（约2.05米）。
- 慈父/长兄形象，有时有点懒。
- 更加成熟，但如果Papyrus或Toriel在身边时会放松许多。[15]
- 冷漠，这有时显得很野蛮，但这是他以防自己陷入崩溃的自救。[16]
- 使用骨头和蓝色模式战斗，并不使用Gaster Blaster。
- 可以使用魔法来隔空取物，但不会传送。
- 高兴或满足时眼睛会微微发蓝光，使用魔法时光亮则会增强，若是在极其悲伤或愤怒时使用魔法光亮则会更强。[17]
- 使用Comic Sans字体，但并非全小写。
- 常称Papyrus为“Paps”。
- 喜欢双关笑话、垃圾食品和青蛙。
- 喜欢烘焙自制Hot Pocket[c]，[18]会给Frisk意大利辣香肠和火腿奶酪两种口味选择。
- 多称Frisk为“Kid”或“Kiddo”而不是“My child”。
- Frisk可以称他为“大哥哥”而不是“爸爸”，毕竟他从未担任过父亲的角色。
- 如果对他调情，他会告诉你自己已经老到能当爷爷了，然后一笑了之。[19]
- 与他战斗的感觉更偏向焦虑与忧心，整场战斗会比Class!Toriel困难，但肯定比Class!Sans简单得多。[20]
- 如果你的HP值低于或等于2时，他会假装眼里进东西，然后把骨头抛向天花板而不是灵魂。[21]
- 在被Papyrus背叛了之后，他离开了王位并来到Ruins。
- 多年来一直独自生活在Ruins，经历了多年的苦难却异常冷静。
- 来过几次Waterfall，在那看Napstablook的青蛙竞赛，而他赌的青蛙总是赢。
- 总是能机智躲过Papyrus的皇家搜查队。
- 经常会想起他已故的弟弟Gaster和其他人类小孩，有时也会深切思念Papyrus，尽管他极力不想去想他。
- 后悔没有阻止人类小孩们离开Ruins，即便他有能力（但他也不愿伤害他们）。
- 地底解放后选择成为一名精神病医生，而且原谅了Papyrus，但得花一段时间才能彻底冰释前嫌。[22][23]

- 从Asriel学来了召唤Dreemurr Beamer[e]的能力。[25]
- 拥有KR技能，且会躲避你的攻击。[26]

- 使用全小写的Determination字体。
- 有时称Asgore为“Az”或“Gori”。
- 会给Asgore念睡前故事。

- 会在她的非法派摊售卖切片派，她觉得这比卖掉一整个派更有意义。[32]

- Asriel失踪后独自一人将Toriel抚养大。

- 可以使用魔法来隔空取物。
- 使用魔法时眼睛会映出红光。
- 使用Papyrus字体，但并非全大写。
- 喜欢煮意大利面。
- 依旧不喜欢双关笑话，但比Class!Papyrus更能接受一点。
- 不太常尖叫怒吼。
- 多年来一直独自生活在城堡中。
- 曾派皇家搜查队搜寻Sans至少七次，但都一无所获。他也认为很合理，毕竟小时候玩捉迷藏时也总是找不着他。
- 在与他战斗前会给你提供意大利面。

- 有着自己独特的诡异面孔，但在Chara怂恿他扮过一次后就不想再做了。

- 很少出现在Toriel面前，有时摆着一副骇人的面孔盯着她，什么也不说。
- 坠入核心后他在世间的一切存在都被剥夺了，似乎只有Toriel和他的三名追随者记得他曾存在。
- 只会在记得他的人面前现身。
- River Person会用“小心那个不存在的人”来暗示他。

- 该项目尚未拥有正式名字时曾被称作“Geno!Tori AU”。[40][41]
- 该项目拥有三篇半官方性质的小说，分别是Altertale: Where “Gaster” Comes From、SwitchTale: Prince Gaster和Between Royal Puns and Pie Pranks。[2]
- Friisans认为该项目会存在“Soriel”，即Toriel与Sans的CP向。
- Friisans认为假如该项目存在角色曲，其大致组成方式为原对应角色曲的混音：
