Undertale: Halloween Hack（曾用名Unaltered）是由Lunaxis创作的，将Toby Fox开发的《地球冒险》同人改版Earthbound: Halloween Hack以Undertale的格式进行续写的同人项目。其承接Earthbound: Halloween Hack的结局，讲述了一位名为Varik的赏金猎人，为寻找失踪孩童而进入地下世界的故事。[1]
与Earthbound: Halloween Hack类似，该项目同样引用了诸多来自其他作品的音乐：除了其参考原型《地球冒险》、Toby Fox参与制作的Homestuck与由他本人开发的Deltarune，还有《撼天神塔》《最终幻想》《时空之轮》《上古卷轴》《伊苏》等电子游戏。
历程
2018年的某段时间，Lunaxis在其SoundCloud的第二账号投稿了一批归属项目为“Unaltered”的曲目。同年11月21日，Lunaxis为该项目创建了官方SoundCloud账号并将其官方曲目重投至此。[2]同年年末，该项目更名为“Undertale: Halloween Hack”，而未来的几年间该项目持续以在SoundCloud投稿官方曲目作为更新。
2019年7月20日，Lunaxis开始在MS Paint Fan Adventures投稿该项目的官方漫画，[3]其迄今为止的最新一页发布于同年8月4日。[4]2020年9月，该项目宣布漫画即将停止连载，[5]整个项目也在2021年1月1日投稿了曲目Gaster's Theme后进入了沉寂期。[6]
2023年2月3日，Lunaxis在第三个人账号投稿了该项目的翻新曲目Starfield，[7]此后又接连投稿了包括Broken Angel和Baleful Foe等翻新曲目。[8][9]在上述投稿中，Lunaxis说明了自己在个人账号投稿的原因——其因遗失邮箱而无法登入该项目的原SoundCloud账号。[10]同年4月13日，Lunaxis为该项目创建了新SoundCloud账号并投稿了Charnel of Hopes翻新版本。[11][12]该账号也在未来一段时间内短暂作为官方曲目投稿账号，直至Lunaxis在5月14日重新登入了旧SoundCloud账号并在此悉数重投此前的曲目，[13]而原第二账号则被用于存放非正典和未使用曲目。[a]
2024年9月12日，Lunaxis在其Twitter账号发帖表明该项目的漫画正在进行彻底的重制，并随之公开了Mysteryman角色的新形象。[14]2025年2月9日，该项目在对其剧情进行调整后重新恢复音乐更新至今。[15]

背景故事
199X年秋，Varik在击败Dr. Andonuts之后，前镇长B.H. Pirkle给了他一项新任务——去寻找一位名叫Raine的失踪孩童，而所有的线索都指向一个废弃的洞穴。
据说，进入那个洞穴的人就再也没有回来过。尽管如此，Varik仍旧选择进入洞穴。他最终落入一个反乌托邦的地底世界，在那里居住着一群自称是怪物的生物，一心想暴力征服人类世界。[16]

Varik
Varik，又名Ares Toraernos[b]，其出自《撼天神塔》系列。Varik是一位有着勇气灵魂特质的人类，他有着一头红棕色的头发，身着一套包含胸甲、肩甲与靴子的银色盔甲，以及红色的斗篷、内衬与手套和棕色裤子。除此之外，Varik另有一套基于早期《撼天神塔》游戏内显示的配色——其中肤色为小麦色，发色与盔甲呈暗蓝，斗篷与内衬等服装则为棕色。
Varik是一名沉默寡言的赏金猎人，他可被认作是一位待玩家赋予其性格特征的主角。[16]在开幕剧情中，Varik被透漏有嗜酒的习惯，此处照应了Earthbound: Halloween Hack的隐藏内容。
