Undertale: Bits and Pieces是一款由Team BnP开发和发行的Undertale同人模组，其旨在对原作的音乐和美术等游戏资产进行重制，并额外添加了包括原未使用、主机独占、后续作品以及独创可探索支线等内容以丰富游玩体验。该模组曾由Blaize Mayes与Mr. George担任总监，Benjamin Urquhrt担任首席程序员，Lexxiemow担任首席曲师。

Undertale: Bits and Pieces最初的开发与发布工作都在私人Discord服务器内部进行，随后籍由2020年9月与Undertale: Revamped合并正式对外公开，其原定开发方向也在2021年扩展为在游戏内添加该模组独创支线内容。模组的内容采用版本更新的形式逐步发布，其第三个大版本v3.0.0作为首个对外公开的大版本于2020年12月25日发布，而迄今为止的最后一个完整大版本v4.0.0于2021年10月25日发布。

该模组因其总监兼主要开发成员Blaize Mayes于2023年11月以持有儿童色情制品罪名被捕而取消开发，未完成的v5.0.0也随之公开。在此之后，原Team BnP的部分成员转为开发MrkySpices创建的Undertale: Project Harmony，而该模组的配乐也遵循其各自原作者的意愿脱离原所属在其他项目复用。除此之外，社区的其他成员或团体也曾试图以其他形式继续该模组的制作，尽管Team BnP已对此表明了禁令。

开发

Undertale: Bits and Pieces的开发工作最初由Blaize Mayes及其领导的团队在幕后推进，其中的前两个大版本——包含Ruins和Snowdin的翻新工作都在BlaizeMayes的个人服务器内测试及发布。随着该模组在2020年9月20日正式对外公布，[1]Mr. George也在次日表示该模组将与Lux同其创作的另一同类型模组Undertale: Revamped合并，而Undertale: Bits and Pieces将作为主要创作对象并将使用前者的GameJolt页面。[2]而后，该项目一度由Blaize Mayes、Mr. George和Lux三人共同持有。

影响

在Undertale: Bits and Pieces停止开发后，原Team BnP的部分成员重组成了数个创作团队转向制作其同类型模组。其中，大部分成员实际已在参与前团队成员MrkySpices创建的同类型模组Undertale: Project Harmony的开发，[3]但其在此后一度陷入近半年的停止开发。[4][5]在此期间，部分成员籍由Mr. Geroge的联系转向了由另一前团队成员Chloe创建的Undertale: Frosted的开发中。[6][7]此外，原为该项目创作的特定配乐也因其原作者希望“作品脱离该模组独立存在”的意愿而在其他项目中被复用或翻新，[8]包括Deltatraveler[9]、J-Bug的Undertale: Halloween Hack[10]以及Dog Hole Dungeon等项目。[11]

除此之外，尽管Team Bnp不希望任何人接续该项目的创作，[3]但仍有来自社区的其他成员或团体试图以其他形式继续该模组的制作，如Undertale: Stars And Omnius和Undertale: Bit and Pieces+，[12]后者实际立项于原模组取消前，并旨在为原模组添加额外内容。在原模组取消之后，Undertale: Bit and Pieces+的创作团队将其项目更名作“Undertale: New Hope”，并且一度试图伪造来自Team BnP的许可以便于后续开发。[13]而在被揭露后，其创作团队拒绝停止使用来自原模组的资产并对Team BnP发动言语攻击，[14]此后其还被揭露一度利用原模组资产牟利。[15]2025年，该项目创作团队最终与Team BnP以前者移除来自原模组的所有相关资产，并改变开发方向的决定达成和解。[7]

    In all honesty, I would really like it if this video was taken down as what was a good memory and a song I was proud of is just something that brings me pain now as all the hard work done by others and I will have this label associated to it because the mod creator messed up. It's already happening and people aren't coming to listen to this song but are coming to instead comment,"oh haha, look at what blaize did."

    I understand keeping this video up as I know there are some who like the song but ugh, I wish I never made this song. Anyway, sorry for the long comment but I feel it's important to state.
